Rally
'Round Greenville!
September
18 -20, 2009
FREE
admission
Downtown Greenville, Texas
(A town so cool, Dallas had to name an avenue after us!)
It's
a "Texas Music Weekend"!
Festivities
begin Friday evening with a concert at the Lee Street Bar &
Grill (just west of the Lee/Wesley St. intersection.)
There's
more music all day Saturday as we Rally 'Round Greenville with
two entertainment stages.
An
art show, display of antique cars and tractors, Kids Alley fun
for the youngsters, arts and crafts vendors and sidewalk sales
are all part of the Saturday fun.
Don't
miss the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies' Cotton Patch
Challenge Bicycle Race & Tour - it attracts more than 1,000
from across the region. The bite-your-nails, edge-of-your-seat
exciting Criterium Race will zoom over the Audie Murphy overpass,
just south of downtown, on Sunday.
The
second annual BBQ and Chili Cookoff will tickle your tastebuds,
while an array of festival foods will be available from Rally
vendors.
There's
even more music Saturday evening with the Threadgill
Concert Series at the Municipal Auditorium (admission) featuring
Texas Songwriters Ray Wiley Hubbard, Radney Foster, Walt Wilkins,
and Brandon Rhyder.
