Aunt Char’s Kid Zone
is more than a playground. The football field-size complex in the center of the Greenville SportsPark is a creative playground with equipment and structures for imagination building play for kids of all ages.

Museum

The Audie Murphy/ American Cotton Museum interprets the cultural, social, and economic history of cotton. The fluffy fiber was Texas' number one export item for much of the19th century. Our rich blackland prairie soil grew a premium crop that made Greenville the site of a prosperous cotton industry.

Cotton DisplayThe museum, on Interstate 30, tracks cotton production from farming through ginning and processing. The story of cotton's impact from its introduction as a cash crop in the 1800s to present day uses for cotton - both locally and nationally - unfolds chapter by chapter inside the museum's walls.

The Audie Murphy exhibit celebrates World War II's most decorated soldier, a Hunt County native. Photos, biographies, uniforms, and reproductions of his medals tell the story of the sharecropper's son who left home to become a national hero.

Traveling exhibits, local history displays, weekly luncheon programs, historical tours, and summer programs for youngsters make history come alive at the American Cotton Museum.
